How's everyone doing here?

I have been doing some recreational weekend darter collecting in NY and Western Pa. lately and just thought I would stop in and say hello.

I wouldn't mind finding someone to collect with one of these weekends in the Salamanca NY (Allegheny River) or Meadville Pa (French creek) area. I have some real nice spots I would be willing to share with you.

I also have all the gear we would need. The only demands I would make is you get to man the net, I get to do all the kicking. LOL!

Anyway, I was a NANFA member in the early 80's. Nice to see your group is still around.

PS. I always post in bold. You will to when you get to be my age and can never find your reading glasses.

Welcome back Peter. We did some collecting with Steve A back in the 80's had a nice trip through Kentucky and W Virginia that I've yet to repeat. I would love to get to NW PA and the Allegheny area of NY.

It's very diversified but the darter population has changed quite a bit in the last 20 years. In fact, that alone makes the creek unique.

Yes I've collected at meadville a few times. Scheduling is always tricky but I'd like to make a trip there before snows set in.

Those West Virginia mountain rds were fun to cross on a late rainy night after a hard days collecting.
