Caught on the lower saluda, SC. I would call the area a slow/medium shallow run.

The darters are tessellated/ Shiners hard to tell from the photo.

Thanks. It was hard to get a clear picture of the shiners. We don't have a very good camera and they just won't sit still. As you can probably see, they are probably 1.5 - 2cm long with a solid black stripe down the side. They had bright yellow/orange fins before transport, if that helps at all.

the shiners are possibly what we are calling greenhead/yellowfin shiners. Confusing complex that is currently being studied. Dustin may have an idea since he lives near there.

I really can't tell from that picture. There are a few that it could be. If you kept them and want to bring them by, I can tell you what they are.
