They required no flake training
Ditto, I got some of these from Springfield, MO when I went to school there and those suckers ate flakes within about a day or so.....bombproof little suckers

As the others said, they will take flake with little to no training. In any event, here's my care sheet that I send out with my Blackstripe Topminnows.

Thanks, Brian. I was able to catch one topminnow today and it took to bloodworms directly.

I put five in a 75 gallon tank last year and they all were very hardy and grew very fast. A fun fish for the surface of the aquarium where few other fish dwell. Then it happened they all matured. One male harrassed and killed all the others (male and female) within a month period.
There can only be one.

Wow, good info to have. Thanks Andy. Maybe I'll stick with my one.

Then it happened they all matured. One male harrassed and killed all the others (male and female) within a month period.
