What does Sg translate into Parts per thousand??sorry for not saying this before but they should be kept in freshwater right now. When the get full grown a specific gravity of about 1.006 would be good for them. The sg does not have to be exact they are used to changes in salt levels.

The sleepers can live in a wide range of salinities, 8ppt is the preferred level though when full grown.
Coastal fish are very interesting, do you visit that area frequently?
