Those of you have listened to me ramble on through the years about collecting in Florida and eating Cuban food (and those of you who haven't) can listen to me ramble to pictures, on Saturday, September 5th, in Fairfax, Virginia at 1 p.m., at the meeting of the Potomac Valley Aquarium Society. I've finally gone through a dozen or so years of material and put it into a slideshow. Much of the talk deals with exotics, but I do spend some time on native species as well.

Details are on the PVAS Web site at: http://www.pvas.com/.

Collecting in Florida and Cuban food?
We will have that opportunity soon enough! The Florida Crew are setting up a Cuban Banquet for our Saturday night affair and there are wonderful fishes and critters in the clear water of central Florida. I keep hoping to sign up for the Weeki Watchee foray but i understand it is strictly a "Catch and Release".
:)
I plan on registering today for onsite presence as opposed to a 2nd hand experience in the Northlands via slide show.
Good job Prez Bob for your promotion of our Natives and talking about them foreign fish too.
One day i hope to hear you again at a convention.

Wish I could go with you Casper. Too bad you can't come up to Fairfax. Hey, if you get near a Cuban restaurant, make sure you order the lechon asado. Pork marinated in citrus, then slow roasted. It's just great!
