I don't know if you are far west enough for Slough darters (Etheostoma gracile),
So the only other thing I can think of is Mud darter (E. asperinge).
But I'd wait for someone with better ID skills.

definantly not a bluntnose. Mud darter may be correct

Hmmm I have seen a few mud darters I'm not sure I would call yours a mud darter but I also don't have a better idea...
