Ok guys, im not sure how active the Northeast members are here. Id like to get a collecting trip goin one of these weekends coming up. Either in the Western NY, Central NY, Northern Ohio, Erie PA Area. If we go in the Western NY area. I have a place where a few people can crash if they need before driving home. Or I was thinking even getting a cabin in Alleghany state park, then we could sample some local waters in and around NY and PA (not in the state park of course) ,Then do a little more in the morning before we head back. I can get the cabin for free. Or a quick day trip is fine also .So if anyone is interested or has any suggestions let me know. Im pretty new to this and would love to go on an excursion with some enthusiasts and learn a thing or two. Hope we can get this goin.

I'll be heading up to the Meadville area this Sunday (November 1) if you are interested in meeting me there. I know some sites in Crawford County that I want to hit. I may want to head north and explore some new sites in Erie County also, but there are at least two sites in Crawford County that I want to hit first. If anybody is interested, send me a PM, or better yet, an e-mail.

Didn't make it. Various reasons. Most importantly, the water was high after a lot of recent rain, and I expected it to be unsafe to enter. The stream gage shows the water level falling, the forecast for Saturday looks good, and hopefully there won't be so much rain this week so the water level will keep dropping. It looks like I'll be meeting NYnativekeeper716 there this coming Saturday, probably about 10 am. If anyone else is interested, let me know, I'll get you the details.

Hey guys as EDbihary said we are going sampling in the Northwestern PA area this Saturday. if anyone in the NY area want to come along feel free. If you want to meet in NY and carpool with me that would be fine. Let me know! Its supposed to be mid 50's and sunny this weekend Get out before the snow hits!!!
