I would like to ask everyone to please welcome Brian Torreano as the new editor of American Currents. I am sure that everyone is excited about the prospect to get back on track and we need to help Brian in every way possible.
This being said, if you have submitted any articles or tidbits to James Clark that you have not seen printed or if you have anything ready or nearly ready, please send these submissions to me and to Brian at headdarter@btdarters.com.

Thanks, everyone for your kind words and encouragement! I'm going to need everyone's help, with article submissions, news, info, and the like, so please keep me informed of native fish goings-on. You can email me at the address listed in Dustin's post, and also at bt@btdarters.com. Hopefully, we can get the next issue of American Currents to the membership really soon! Thanks again!

Thank you very, very much Brian for volunteering to take on this job. It's a lot to commit to.
On that note, American Currents could be a great way for people to get involved in the organization. I'm sure Brian will set up the editorial/publication process that suits him best, but the publication takes a LOT of work to put out. If anyone is interested in volunteering their time to help the organization, this could be a great way.
Brian, once you get set up and established, maybe you can think of some of the tasks that could be delegated so you don't have to do it all every time. Like maybe some of the sections that regularly appear so you don't have to research and write them all. Or some of the other publication-related tasks (I really don't know what these entail, but I imagine there are some repeating tasks for every issue). Sort of like a mini-staff, if you will. I'm sure you are quite able to do it all, but it's a lot to ask of one person. This job should be enjoyable, not an albatross!
Just an idea, anyway. Thanks again very much for taking this on.

Thanks, guys! I hope I can do a great job! Also, if anyone has any articles that they submitted to Clark, that didn't get published, please forward them along to me so that they can get put into an upcoming American Currents. Also, if you have anything that you'd like to send along that you haven't previously submitted, please send it to me. My email address is below. I'm going to need a lot of content to keep this thing going! Thanks!
