I caught this baby fish in Alaska, the pond only has rainbow trout & dolly varden in it. But this one is too small for me to tell apart. Anyone good with baby trout?

It is a Dolly Varden, at least it looks that way to me.

Definitely does not look like any small rainbow I've ever seen...look at the size of those eyes!

I've seen eyes like that on golden trout I caught that were razor skinny, but I think this was due to vitamin defiecency. My vote remains on Dolly Varden.

Thank you I was hopimg for that verdict.

We caught them & took a photo just in case they were Dolly Varden. My brother had never caught one before & the bigger ones were not biting.
