my mom got a new Cannon PowerShot 12MP camera for christmas, and i've been fooling around with it. its got really great macro (all these shots are macro) and it even has an aquarium setting!

anyway here are some pics:

Bluegill:

a fun, out of focus closeup (i think it would take the fun out of the pic if it was clear and not crooked  )

Nice pictures. I especially like the 4th one down (your favorite). Have you considered using Photoshop or other image editing software to touch up your photos? You can edit the contrast and color balance and it will give you truer colors and prevent having a washed out look. But still, great photos.

Are all your sunfish in one tank? Do they get along? How big is the setup?
Thanks,
Jan

yes, they get along pretty well, some territory disputes but they're quick and settled easy. its a 55 gallon tank.

Your bluegill might be just a really dark male... hmmm. But great photos and the tank looks so wild now!

You may get the colors to pop more correctly if your camera has a white balance setting that can be adjusted to compensate for the temperature of your aquarium lighting.
