Hopefully MikeZ will chime in. I plan to set up a saltwater tank this spring, and collect critters for it when I visit the east coast in the summer.

I would love too but until I can come across a chiller on the cheap it is out for me. Average Marine water around here is 45 in the winter 54 in the summer. We have some really cool critters up here in Washington too.

I have two marine (38 gallon and 3 gallon) tanks currently running. While not strictly native tanks, I have kept natives (silversides, sheepshead minnows, feather blenny) in them. I'd like to do some more saltwater collecting this year and hopefully discover some more cool critters.

I also now have 2 salt water tanks...possible will be turning my 55 in to a salt real soon. I have sheepshead minnows, mummichogs, rainwater killifish, striped killifish, grass shrimp, hermit crabs, and northern pipefish. The pipefish have their own tank and eat live brine shrimp. i was suprised by their level of personality. Im looking to get some hogchokers...so if anyone see's this and wants to ship me some then thanks :)

I think about it from time to time. I have had them. Seining the north east in late august usually brings suprising results.
Boston Bean box fish are really cool to keep.

I'm working on an oyster reef project so when it's up and running I hope to have native marine species (brackish side of marine) like the species above. If you go collecting and my tank is set up and done cycling by then, then I'd like to go some time. Could be fun.
