Position Title: Biological Science Technician - Fisheries

Agency/Location: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Maryland Fishery
Resources Office - Annapolis, MD

Number of Vacancies: 5

Position Duration: March - September, 2010

Responsibilities: This position provides technical assistance to staff
biologists with collecting American shad eggs during the spring spawning
run on the Potomac River and conducting fish survey work in the Chesapeake
Bay and Tributaries. Field work may include gillnetting adult American
shad, seining and electrofishing for snakehead fish.

Other Information: No housing is provided with this position, frequent
evening work will be required

I really appreciate you and Matthew taking the time to post all these positions. We've got a couple great undergrads who aren't necessarily interested in Grad School, but are extremely proficient in ArcView and have taken Biostats as undergrads in the grad classes, and would make excellent technicians.

I second the notion as someone who will be leaving graduate school soon in search of a full time position where the weather is warm(ish). Keep up the good work guys!
