I've had these 2 tesselated darters since sept. and the 4(1 male, 3 female) gambusia since early summer. All doing well.

NICE!
Tesselated's are great. I have several. Their behavior is interesting. They've got lots of personality.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

I love tessellateds too. Though they are quite common, I find them to be great fun to watch. I have a big one I have posted about before that is actually quite striking when he is in food mode. I would recommend them to anyone. Do you have any serious aggression between yours?

These guys kinda act like each other isn't even there. I had a bigger one that would stalk the two small ones.

I noticed this sign the other day and had to pull over and snap a pic. Its a few hundred yards from where I got my darters.

I added an otto cat on sunday. He seems to be doing well. You can spot him between the 2 darters.
I also found that shutting off the auto focus works better for pics. I still get a glare, thou.

Day 3 the otto seems to be doing well.I read they can die in the first few days. It should make a good non-native cleaner. I would rather a sucker minow to stay native.

your banded killi has the same issue mine once had. i cant figure out what it was. some parasite or something. is that something coming out of his anus? if it is have you figured out what it is? did it have lil white round balls under the skin?
