Hi,
Just joined the forum here. I am in SE CT and have been a longtime guppy breeder but have gotten into native fishkeeping since I don't have money to spend on buying fish for the time being. I am a very avid angler and have become fascinated with keeping local fish species here in CT, which has been facilitated by the new and excellent "Pictorial Guide to Freshwater Fishes of CT." I currently have several tanks operating and am bringing more back online every day (at full capacity I operate around 30), mostly freshwater but 1 saltwater Long Island Sound tank. I have bluegills, pumpkinseeds, brown bullheads, golden shiners, banded killifish, a fallfish, a redfin pickerel, mummichogs, a grubby, a spider crab, a green crab and some small grass shrimp.
I look forward to participating in the online native fishkeeping community here.
Hi from CT
