Took the wife and 2 kids out to a spot in the northern virginia area on saturday to do some collecting. Great Sunny cool day. Only spent a little over an hour collecting as the wife got tired of chasing the 19 month old around. Caught some huge longnose dace of around 6 inches and some really fired up stonerollers. Caught some small rainbow darters, fat fantails and a couple colored up greenside darters. Minnows were hard to come by as all I came across were a couple of cyprinella. Then again, it's hard to catch minnows when working a 4 foot seine by yourself. Below are some pics from the trip.
