Algae on Rock....Is it harmful?

alright the french river down the road here in mass is full of this algae on the rocks. its bright green. looks beautiful. would it be ok to put in a tank? i figured the fish would like to munch on it and its just very pretty to look at. i just dont know anything about it! thanks. i also found another cool plant.

it should be fine. i go and take rocks like that from rivers and place them into my pleco tanks and within a day or 2, they are picked clean, then I go back and get another couple lol.

The branched gray-green alga (last pic) might be Batrachospermum. Close up, does it look like strings of tiny beads inside a clear sheath?
