Greenside darter.

Thanks for taking the time to photo the fish streamside instead of taking unidentified fish home. I really appreciate the effort.

I would never take fish home I knew nothing about.. Thanks for all of your help. I have been into native fish for about two years and my identification skills suck... :) But I am working on it

Yeah, I wasn't trying to single you out but it happens a lot on the forum. I really do understand the desire to take newly found (and yet identified) fish home. The extra effort is really appreciated.
As far as ID skills....I just happen to know the fish you posted (not sure about the third darter) and don't worry about being able to ID everything in the first few years. I've been doing this a while now and still have a hard time with new fish. With experience in the water and in front of books, you'll keep getting better and I find the time with the books trying to ID really help me cement features.

It looks like a hungry Greenside Darter to me, too.
