I havent looked to close yet but do you think banded. We have banded and mottled here. He's a goodole bigun. I havent checked the max length but you can bet I am not going to put him in with my new baby shadow bass :D/ Sure looks as though he was feeding well in that stream I caught him in.

Don't know the species, but chances are, that is a female loaded with eggs. They are early spawners.

I was wondering that myself since she was so so fat. Looks like a banded to me but I will check. does she need a male to fertilize after the spawn. I suppose so but I have never really bred wild fish before.

I don't know the speices but yes, she would need a male to spawn.
