Went to a creek just a couple miles from my home in Fort Worth a couple weeks ago and found some Fundulus. At the time I was not looking for fish so I did not have a net but was able to get a decent look and found what might be either F. notatus or F. olivaceus.
Well I went back tonight and was able to collect up some younger fish but no adults as my net was only about 5 feet long and the adults were staying around 6 feet out but I was able to get some young. I am getting them use to my tanks water and will be raising them up. This was my first collecting trip in Texas and for the year and it was a blast. I am going to go back and try for some adults as well as hunting for other Fundulus around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
