Just wanted to drop a note before doing so since people about had a heart-attack last time...

I will be upgrading the forum to the latest version sometime this week, as early as tonight. The primary reason is to fix some security issues and add some needed functionality.

There will be some new features added so please bear with us on the changes. Some of the new features will be disabled as they are not needed for this environment.

Please let me or any of the admins/mods know of any issues you may experience. Public bashing are means for removal.

Ok... Update is done...

New features :

Image auto-resize
Better message post screen (may take some getting used to and I will fix the coloring asap)
Contacts are now Friends
Better attachment process (again, may take a few mins to get it right)

New forum software update has been released so I will be doing an upgrade sometime this week, planning on Monday the 16th. Forum will be unavailable for a short period of time so if it is, give it some time and try later.

And we're back, sorry if you got caught in the downtime.

Let me know if you find any anomalies.

You mean like the side panel being messed up, or not being able to post attached photos (such as a screenshot of the messed-up side panel) ?

I can't download the test photo that Uland posted. I "don't have permission to use this feature".

You mean that photo isn't showing for you?

It displays for me as all other photos in Firefox but will not display in IE.

No. It appears as an icon, and says next to it "Number of downloads: 0". When I click on the icon, it opens a new tab in FireFox 2.0.0.4, and throws up a message on the tab "Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available."

I just tested it in Internet Explorer 7, also. I got the same result, except a new window instead of a new tab.

Perhaps you have permission and I don't, either because it is your post, or because you are an administrator and I'm not. Some permissions may need to be fixed.

Ok. I just actually logged in with IE and it shows. I think you're right about the permissions or some doo dad like that. Thank guys. Drew is a master technician. I'm sure he'll get this resolved before long.

Weird, I thought I had fixed that awhile ago, must have been another forum. Fixed now?

Here is the screenshot - I was able to post it by uploading it to my website and hyperlinking to it. I cropped it just to show how the sidebar is messed up.

That happened to me once and only once. I refreshed and it was fixed. I'll go dig around IPB's bugtracker and see if this is a common occurrence.

Is it happening on every post?

Oh yeah, I disabled Uploads for this section of the forum. I guess at the time didn't realize it was needed.

Yup, and only since the upgrade.

May be a possible cache problem on your end but I will send in a trouble ticket. If you don't want it, you can disable it in "My Controls".

I resized the reply pane, then refreshed - and the problem went away.
