I'm going out after some fishes sometime in the next several days to a week or whenever I can line up some help. That just means I need one or more people to come along and hold the other end of the net. I'd like to do Alum Creek at Kilbourne Ohio (NNE of Columbus) and any other places that seem interesting. I'm open to suggestions. I'm willing to change the location to meet the needs or wants of anyone who wants to go. I have extra waders and nets. I'm happy to show anyone how it's done if you are unsure. Email me: Mark Binkley, jonah@jonahsaquarium.com
Thanks!

Just say the word. There is a species of crayfish that only lives in West Virginia, Penn and parts of Virginia called cambarus monongalensis that I'd love to at least see in person. Sampling mountain streams is also my favorite kind of sampling

Is that one of those buggers that lives underground? You might need to bring a shovel. Send me an email so I can keep track of who you are and what you're interested in. I might not be able to find this thread again when the time comes: jonah@jonahsaquarium.com

Email sent. Yes they are burrowers but someone I know from another forum caught some in some souplike mud next to a stream. I'd just be happy flipping rocks and seining in a stream. Plus I bought a mask and snorkel last year and haven't had a chance to use them yet.
