Hey guys, this Summer my family plans to take a trip to the Keeweenaw Peninsula, and I was lookng for some good collecting sites in the area. We will be close to Houghton, so anywhere around there would be ideal. Thanks guys!

I've spent a lot of time around the Houghton area, but no sampling yet. I was hoping todo a little this summer. There are a lot of places to try, but I would be careful around trout streams. Take a look around the Sturgeon River Sloughs area, and try some of the shoreline areas on Keweenaw Bay. It's not terribly rich species-wise, but you should find some nine-spine and three-spine sticklebacks, maybe even a young burbot.
Maybe I'll see you up there. Good luck.
