That first one never knew what happened! And I get the feeling that wasn't Coosa's top gear, either...

I've been keeping a worm culture in a styrofoam container in an unused room in my house for a couple of years so I don't think they require refrigeration, but I don't think they'd do well if it's too hot.

Steve,

Any success tips? I've been buying night-crawlers from the store and after a few days the media they are packed in, and the worms liquefy. Whats the deal here?

Josh, are you refrigerating them? Those bait night crawlers are starved. The only thing that keeps them alive is a slow metabolism. A couple days of warm temps and they die making a mess of everything. Also the fact that they have not fed in months makes for low value food. Better off setting stones in the yard that you can lift and harvest healthy redworms. A redworm culture is questionable. The species that is easy to breed, and grows fast is also mildly toxic, and not very palatable. I have done my due diligence on this. Red Cherry Shrimp!

Excellent video, showing how good of a predator it really is.  What a handsome fish!  I love the blueish tint on the fins.
