The best part of a NANFA convention is hanging out in the hotel lobby with a fistfull of beer and a bunch of friends I see once a year. But camping is pretty much a habit for me these days. SO, anybody else camping this year? We need to get together and pick a campground, and maybe reserve neighboring sites.

P.S. The cat is coming along with me this year. Don't be afraid, I thrashed him for what he did last time and it won't happen again!

Depending on how things work out, we'll probably camp too.

This place looks nice:

There is also a place called Fields Campground that has electric and all that (keep those aerators runnin) right off I-85. I'm skeptical that it has the same holistic sleep as somewhere a little further away.

Gerald will shed light on this tomorrow, as he had said :)

If I can take time off the sampling regiment I would like to camp as well. You may want a buffer between my campsite and yours because I tend to get rowdy at night.

Is that beer of yours allowed in the campground, Martin?

It's starting to sound like the campground is the place to be. I'm still thinking about that. Will hot showers be available? Three days without a shower is just not happening for me. I'm leaning toward motel. I like your first idea, Martin. But if the party's at the campground...

Oh I will do more than that, friend. When you go out wearing a kilt you can't be a teetotaller. ;)

Not bad - even has showers!

The last few conventions I went to, NOBODY else was camping. Now it looks like we got us a convoy!

What they don't know won't hurt 'em none. But since the Corona delivery van has their logo all over the sides, front, and back of the van, I'll have to find another way to get 200 cases into the park.

So I noticed Hagan stone has a group camp area on the map of the park, should we look into renting this for us all as a group? It might be cheaper than individual tent sites.

I was wondering about that too. But my wife will probably insist on a site with an electrical hookup. She's kind of a pain to go camping with - always wants to be be right next to the restrooms.
