IUCN Freshwater fish Specialist group will be arraging a "Bioblitz" to identify freshwater fish diversity. This would be a great thing for fellow NANFAns to be involved in.

One problem though. it's in FEBRUARY. The water is solid and hypothermia inducing that time of year.

That depends on where you are and where you sample. I do not see that as a total lockout of getting North American data introduced to this.

I took a quick look at their site. First thing is it does not look to me that their bioblitz is a one day type event, it appears to be an ongoing cataloging of observations. Its also interesting that they have no representative for North America at all. I'm not sure if it says something about us or if it says something about them, that we don't seem to be connected at all. Certainly something that I would like to look into more and understand better.
