My eight year old would like to be able to post here on the forum as herself; logged on in her own account, not just posting under Daddy's. She's excited to share pictures of a new fish on my life list; she was helping me in the search for it.

Obviously this is nothing she would be doing often or unmonitored by myself. She doesn't have her own email account, and her mom and I don't want her to have one. But we want to encourage her interest and, as her Daddy, I want to keep her my little girl as long as I can.

We tried setting her up using my email, but it wouldn't let us as that address is linked to me. Is there a way to use my email for her, too, and I'm just too ignorant to know it? We could use her mom's, but she checks her email about as often as bacon goes on sale at a Kosher grocery store. I'd prefer a little more oversight than that...

Just set up an additional account with your preferred email service. Keep the login info too yourself and check it once a week. She won't be able to access the email account without you logging her in, and she certainly cannot get in any trouble here if you are keeping an eye on her. You may want to disable private messaging on her forum account.

Thanks, Matt. I figured that might be the way we had to go...

You know how active your moderators are here. If there was ever an inkling of a problem, it would be solved quickly. Not that she would be a problem at all. I am sure you get my gist.

Y'all are doing OK with this, but I have the advantage... I have been fishing with Twerp!

She still remembers that day fondly! For a while, "Georgia" and "Yellow Jeep" were synonymous with "Mr. Michael". I am still indebted to you and Keith for showing me and the girls a great fishy time!
