Is it safe to keep one or two dwarf crayfish with my three rainbow darters and three fantail darters? Other fish in this tank include mixed shiners, one pleco and one garra garra. Thanks.

Dwarf crayfish can still threaten fish, especially fish that live on the bottom, so no. Bad plan.

I cant speak for ALL dwarf crayfish species, but the Mexican orange "CPO" does not usually attack healthy fish, assuming they get an adequate supply of other foods (worms, pellets, veggies).  They will however finish off sick or dying fish.  Not sure if our native Gulf Coast/TX dwarf C. shufeldti is as mellow as the CPO.

Keep the crayfish's safety in mind as well. When molting they are helpless and hungry shiners can pick them apart. Make sure they have plenty of hides.
