Back in September I caught and kept a lone mosquitofish.  I have been keeping it in a 20 gallon long with a crayfish. The mosquitofish is the only fish in the tank.

Today, one of my students that I allow to feed my classroom tanks tells me that there is a baby fish in the tank.  Sure enough there is a baby gambusia.

Is it common for gambusia to reproduce asexually?

I considered that as a possibility.  Thanks!
