Are these cichlids and should I be worried?

I have recently tried out minnow traps, which I use as I put the live minnows in a tank so my turtles have live food. Normally I would just net minnows, and I would catch mosquito fish, but with the traps I caught these. I’m worried that they are cichlids due the shape of the dorsal fin, and how they can be aggressive towards each other. If someone can identify me, please tell me.

Thanks, BigMike

I'm not an expert, but it looks like a cichlid to me.

Yes, cichlid, unless it was caught in salt or brackish water, then there are more options.  Likely Tilapia.

Well, the water is brackish. It’s connected to an estuary. I’ve been looking, and these look just like the tilapia. Thank you so much.

Unless the turtles can't catch 'em or don't like 'em, I'm not seeing a problem with using exotics as feeders.

Actually it gives me warm fuzzy feelings as an excellent thing to do.

(I eat tilapia too, although not at that size. Or not yet anyway.)

Heh, heh.   My aunt recently sent me one of these video memes of a group of people having a dinner around a common pot.  They were putting Tilapia and maybe carp, about that size, live, into the pot.  Looked like a cold, soupy, ceviche kind of dish.  Lots of finely chopped greens.  Spent a lot of time playing with and chasing the fish around the bowl.  Before they were done there were several flopping around on the table.  Never saw a shot of one going in anyone's mouth, however!  :)
