My Darters are getting in "the mood

I just happened to come home to this

I had a real hard time finding "bule" in any listing of fish terminology. "is it similar to a tubercle?" Duh! Blue. Two Google searches before it dawned on me.

That is nice!  How many do you have in the tank and how big is it?  I am going to start keeping darters and am just curious how you do it.

Darters are easy to keep. I have about 25 in my tank and they have adapted to tank life easily and well. They love bloodworms and Mysis shrimp. Very intelligent fish too. I use a small soufflé cup to thaw the shrimp/worms out in and slowly dunk the cup in the tank. The darters swim up and "bump" the cup to let me know they're hungry. My Northern longear does this too from time to time.

Get some darters. You'll really like these inquisitive and intelligent fish.
