It's getting time to make site reservations, for those of you who are camping. I don't know the camp layout or anything, but I wonder if we can arrange adjacent sites.

Just a follow-up - it appears that you cannot reserve tent sites, and RV sites can be reserved for "clubs" requiring 10 or more sites. I'l have to ask about the group camping area. What do you guys think? If you want to tent camp but want hookups, the RV "B" area looks like it would be good. If we have enough people to reserve those sites, that is.

I'm speaking for at least 4 people and we are camping. If we can work out some sort of group thing count us in. I called the campground and you need 10 people to reserve the group site but there is no electric, the good part is it would be $3 a night per person... I don't need electric but I know some feel they do. Can we get 10 who don't need electric, we have 4 for sure so if 6 more can add their names to the list for the group camp area we can reserve it.

Well, we are camping for sure (that's 2-3 of us) but I don't know if my wife will go for the group camp. I hope so.

ok I'll try to call and reserve it tomorrow just under NANFA as a group so it shouldn't matter who gets there first that way.

Ok it's official we have group camp site 2 at Hagan Stone Park from the 7th through the 10th. I put it under both my name and NANFA and tried to make it clear I may not be the first one there so they should let other NANFA member onto the site. I said we will have between 10 and 20 people but they said we could have up to 40 on the site and it is $3 a person per night. So all of you that said your "ruffing it" in a tent better stick to your word so we have 10 for sure.

no problem, I just didn't want to have to be worried about where I was going to stay or if there would be a campsite when I got there since you can't reserve other sites.

Well, at my wife's INSISTENCE we will be using a RV pad. She HAS to have a fan, etc., or else bring a generator and piss everybody off. I love to go camping, but I can't go except she wants to come with me, and then I can't go camping (as I call it).

Mine insists on sitting by the motel pool while I'm out collecting. That's why I opted out of camping, and made motel reservations

Hmm. Maybe _I_ should sit by the motel pool while you're out collecting

Like natural mountain spring water! Especially since I'm not a wader wuss, except when collecting in the dead of winter with a yankee.

The problem with your argument is, we were not in yankee-land, we were in rebel-land, just outside of Grenada, Mississippi. Perhaps you rebs all freeze in your shorts in February, you won't admit it to each other, but you let your guard down with me. You knew I wouldn't criticize you, having brought waders myself. We all have winter. The difference between us yanks and you rebs is, we have enough sense to dress accordingly!

Kidding aside, see you in Greensboro, Martin.

That may not do you any good. Due to budgetary reasons, I may have to cancel the motel reservations and opt in to the $3/night camping thing. My wife can decide whether she's still willing to come. Don't worry, I'll introduce you some other time

I was supposed to be in on this camping thing, but I am not going to be able to attend the convention. ( my boss is a jerk)
I apologize if this throws a wrench in the group site. Matt
