2017 turned out to be my most prolific year for underwater photography thus far. From the Florida springs in the winter, to the southern Appalachians in the spring, to the Ozarks in the summer, and back to the southern Appalachians in the fall, I was fortunate enough to enjoy many special experiences with our native fishes. For those forum members who do not see my photos on social media, I wanted to share a selection of my favorite underwater images from this year (roughly in chronological order). I don’t have time to write long captions, but I’ll answer any questions about specific photos. Merry Fishmas everyone!

Absolutely unbelievable photos, Isaac. You have an amazing talent and incredible eye. Keep it up. One day I’m going to have some prints of yours on my wall.

YES !  You can order prints, and a calendar.  It's not immediately obvious (to me) from Isacc's website how to get from the "Gallery" to the "orders" page.  Here's a couple of example fish print order pages below.  Isaac - Can you clarify how do we view ALL your fish/aquatic prints, and then get from image to order page?

Thanks all!

Gerald, I don't have my website gallery set up with a way to order prints. But this year on facebook I was getting a lot of "do you sell prints?" questions, so I experimented with adding a print order form when I posted new photos. Anyway, currently there's no way to navigate to those print order form pages from my website. The only way to get to them is from my facebook posts.

Nick, if you ever want to purchase prints, feel free to PM me or email me through my website. In addition to the gallery wrap canvas prints that Gerald linked to, I can offer regular prints (that you'll have to frame) at a more affordable prices.

Awesome as always. Great work Isaac. I think the bowfin is really neat. Perfect shot, perfect timing.

I was trying to pick a favorite and I had it narrow down to . . . all of them!  Seriously, so many awesome pictures!  I've really, really enjoyed these images - thanks for sharing!

Incredible, as usual can't pick a favorite.  I just need the Szabo giant digital photo frame with all of them cycling through year round.  Could I get that on the monthly debit plan?

With all the amazing fish you've immortalized, which is your favorite all time, Isaac?

So what is the trick with the golden topminnow photo? How did you reverse the coloration and make it look like a mirror image? Not that I will fully understand, but you did something really cool and creative. You sort of flipped it, but not fully. You don't need to reveal your secrets, but what am I looking at?

No tricks, thats just the natural reflection from the surface of the water. You can see the same thing in the russetfin topminnow and marsh killifish photos.

Yeah, DLV....The dude is just that good. The problem is, you can't take your daguerreotype underwater and you're jealous.

Thanks Mike! Ive considered making a screensaver of all my underwater photos.

Really, its impossible to pick a favorite, since a lot of the fun is in observing/photographing all the different types of native fishes. But Ill go with the photo of the river chub surrounded by saffron shiners. Im pretty pleased with that one.

Must be that trendy new Starphire Water that's all the rage now.
