I need a favor from someone living in/ passing through one of these cities: Mobile, AL, Bay City, MI, or Houston, TX. (preferably Mobile)

I am wanting to adopt a female Bearded Dragon as a friend for my other female. There are not any locally where I live so I need transportation for the little girl. All that is needed is to pick her up, keep her warm and bring her to the convention. Would anyone be willing to do this?

Traci, You might find bearded dragons in the Charlotte or Greensboro areas; theyre fairly common in pet shops and there's probably some local breeders. Or go to one of those reptile & exotic pet conventions (theres 2 each year in Raleigh, and in many other cities).

If I just wanted a beardie, I could buy one here in Greenville (I work at a pet store). I am going to be keeping the lizard with my other female. I am looking for an adult and it must be female in order for them to live together. I have been to a couple of reptile shows and have not found any that are not very expensive. ($200-300+) I've been watching 3 girls at petfinder.com for over 2 months, waiting for a beardie to show up nearby. They need a good home, and they are not expensive to adopt. If I can get one, its a win-win situation! I was just thinking if someone would be passing by one of these places on their way, it would be a perfect opportunity.
As an aside, the female I'm wanting a "friend" for is nearly blind. She does better with another lizard. Once she sees/hears them eating, she will come eat too. Right now I am having to hand feed her. We did have another lizard with her, but it turned out to be a subadult boy so we had to separate them - you can see how that would become a problem.
