No, there isn't one yet. Donald Scott of UGA was going to do one back in the 70s but never got it done. Byron (Bud) Freeman, also UGA, is going to do it but it "ain't easy" to do.Is there a "Fishes of Georgia" book? I've seen a book on just about every state called "Fishes of _", but I've never seen one for GA, so I was just wondering.

Like the others said there is not really an all inclusive Georgia book... I use the Fishes of the Middle Savanah River Basin, which is a very good book... I also use Frtiz's book (since it includes SC, and there are a lot over overlaps there)... I am also not very patiently waiting on Fritz's new book... don't count on the Georgia book any time soon, it gets talked about a lot, but does not seem to be an urgent priority for anyone... Both of the Alabama books are helpful for covering the western (particularly the north western) portion of the state.
Another reference for NANFA members is a Fishes of Georgia list that our former state rep (now living in Florida I think) Stephen Ellis) compiled some time ago. It is under the Georgia state section of the NANFA website.

Michael Dahlberg and Doanld Scott published "The freshwater fishes of Georgia" in the Bulletin of the Georgia Academy of Science 29:1-64 in 1971. An annotated checklist. Out of date of course.hey fishlver...
