Should I get this seine? Why or why not?

I would advise against this type of seine. The mesh is large, the construction isn't nearly as strong as nylon nets and the material the net is made from seems to be rough on fish.

If you were to say this net is for bait only, I'd have no objection.

Thanks for your input teleost, what 4x4 seine(s) would you recommend for a beginner?

Are you going to the convention?
If so I'll give you one of mine. I bought a 6 pack of 4x4 seines and this one is still in the package.

Cabelas has decent enough nylon seines. They don't cost too much either.

If you're looking at Ebay and want a 4x4 net I found this 1/8" nylon net that might be worth a modest bid.
