Most of you know me, I think. I have been active on the NANFA list for at least 10 years, and I monitor but rarely post to the NFC list, since it's inception. Contrary to what my moniker may suggest, I am neither Mormon nor particularly irate, although I am known for tackling sensitive issues and playing devil's advocate. Most people are smart enough not to take me seriously.

Someone had lamented that they wished the NANFA list accepted photos. This prompted about 30 or so emails, as is usually the case. I volunteered to start a native fish forum that would allow users to post photos, but LO, somebody was way ahead of me! I feel that a permanent online forum will attract a broader audience than an email list. I predict that, one day in the not-too-distant future, this forum will be extremely active.

I live in rural Mississippi, not far from Jackson, and I can't find a seining partner.

My name is Martin, and I am a fishaholic. Also a guitaraholic.

To bad the cat won't survive (inside joke to those that know Martin).

Welcome and thanks.

Can't find a seining partner in the southern portion of the midwest :x . I hope as a collective we can change this. With a long enough seine, it doesn't matter how novice the partner is. Just put them on fish.

Active guys in the region but a large area to cover. Perhaps we can set up some quick trips in this part of the country. I would love an excuse to see more water.

Our 12 step program involves fish, fish and fish. I hope you're in the right place.

Once the mainstream fishkeepers are assimilated I expect this will be true.

I'm trying to find a new home for the cat, BTW. He keeps staring at me - it just freaks me out.

Irate, I LOVE seining! I havent done it in 100 years, tho. LOL
I love guitars too. I used to play bass, i had a fender precision, I also had a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Jr. Right now, all I have is a MArtin acoustic.
The Les Paul was left out in the yard, after it's first owner died, and all roughed up. Well, when I got it, the only thing wrong with it was the frets were pitted! It STILL had a fast action on it!! After being left outdoors for a long time. Can you beleive that? It was tobacco sunburst and really rough looking, all scratched up. But, once my dad replaced the frets, it played perfectly.
Gosh, I hope I dont get kicked off the group by being off-topic.

Which Martin? I have a J-40, also a Breedlove Fusion and an Ovation Elite. Also Goya 12-string (japanese) I've owned forever that needs some fret work and a decent setup too. I've had a few beaters over the years which have disappeared into the whispy fog of time.

I never was too much into Gibson, and I've only ever liked two Martins: a D-35 and my J-40. I want to try a Lowden - they just can't be found anywhere near me.

Kewl!! Alligator gars ROCK!!! I luv alligator gars. I used to share a house with this other woman (no, im NOT gay, by no means LOL) and I used to tell her I was going to get me an alligator gar and keep it in the bath tub! LOL  I dont think she knew that the bath tub would be much to small for one. I'd love to have about a 2,000 gallon tank with some alligator gars in it. LOL :D

Damn cat! He is really creepy - follows me everywhere and just stares at people! I gave him away once and found him on my doorstep the next day, just staring up at me.

That plant I am playing with is currently my my pond - it is some type of lilly actually.

He is wayyyy to smart for any of that... plus, I'm afraid of what he might do if he thought I was trying to do him in...
