Drewish and I are going to try to take some pictures of our collections this weekend. I have recruited a photofile friend of mine with a macro lens to come over and actually do the picture taking.

I just wanted to see if any of you guys had some tips for us to help get the quality up to par with other pictures in this forum, thanks!

I should not give "advice" on the subject but I can get you started.
Keep the room in which the specimen is located dark. Light the top of the tank with as bright a light as possible. Make sure all of the light is in the tank (cover the light source that extends beyond the photo tank) Attempt to flatten the fish (or limit it's movement) in order to keep the entire body in focus. Use a tripod if possible and keep the glass clean:D

Oh I would never ask for advice!

"For advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill. " :)

I just wanted to know of some tips to or little tricks that may have helped you get "the shot" in the past.

When I try to attach a photo it tells me that it is too large, it can only be a max of 256K or something like that. It seems that all of my photos are too large. I don't know how to make the file size smaller. Any assistance would be appreciated, sorry for the confusion.

Tim, you should be able to resize them in your photo program.
