I thought I would post a few pics of one of my new river setups. It's a 20 long with a total flow of 840 gph, with 300 gph from filtration and two 270 gph powerheads. Currently it is stocked with bluehead chubs, blackbanded darters, and brighteye darters. (excuse the dirty glass)

That is awsome. I have always wondered what it would be like to have a river type setup. How do the fish like it?

They seem to feel at home.

Hey I noticed your tank stand look familiar...is that one of those nice chrome shelfs you see at hardware stores? I have been having trouble finding a tank stand and you just gave me an idea!!! What size is that tank you have in the pic? Mine is a 29 gal...wonder if it can take the weight?

I have a couple of those chrome shelves that I use. They are rated for 350lbs per shelf (evenly distributed). I've noticed that when putting smaller (5-10) tanks directly on the shelf they tend to sag in an uncomfortable way, so I have taken to putting plywood boards underneath to spread the load.
