That is good to know. I have been moderately negelecting the tank they are in for a few months, they get fed daily, mainly flake with occassional frozen brine and bloodwoms, but the light is "off the system" and sometimes doesn't get turned on till I get home from work when I forget. I have seen them color up nicely several times, never witnessed any spawning though.

Lights in the "fry wing" of the fish room come on twice a day for feeding purposes. The room is dedicated primarily to tropicals and kept warm at 75d. So, do folks think that my fishroom is going to be too warm to 1) keep them healthy and 2) get a spawn? My only other option is to set up 3, 15 gals out in the garage (1 for rainbows, 1 for yellowfins, and 1 for SRBD) feed 'em good and let it happen. As each spawns I can pull them out and put them into a 30g. Just thinking "out-loud".

edit: what is the maximum temp the fry should be raised in?

I'm trying to think now about rubricroceus and P. tennesseensis occurring sympatrically. Has anyone ever found this?

Again, take the hypothesis with a grain of salt.

Jenkins says... rubricroceus and P. tennesseensis spawn together over the same chub nests or scours. So throw that one out :)
