Toll free number is 877-417-4871. But don't let the Ohio number bother you. He used to live in Ohio, and kept his cell phone number when he moved to California. It works, I've called it before.

I do this all the time. I use the monrail style net with a telecoping painter's pole. I've torn up enough nets, even with this type of frame, that it's rather a large deal to me! I would use my seine more if I could find somebody to hold the other end.

I know this is an old post, but I was browsing and.....
Anyway, I have a simple solution for nets that get torn along the edge from dragging across the substrate. Cut a peice of clear 1" tubing (or whatever size is appropriate for your net frame) the length of the rim of your net in the likely areas of abrasion. These tubes usually have a natural curve in them. Carefully cut along the inside curve of the tube lengthwise. Work it over the net frame and secure with several zip ties. Since I've started doing this, I have not had a single net rip along the edge. Thought this might work for some of you fine NANFA people out there.

The best dip net I have ever seen or used. Bought one a few years ago after collecting with dredcon in South Louisiana. Fiberglass handle and monorail system. I have bent to many aluminum handled ones, and broke way to many wood handled ones. This dip net from Aquatic Ecosystems is the best I have owned. They only come in 1/4 inch mesh I think but Jonahs replacement bags fit them. And I think you can go down to 1/32 of an inch with Jonahs replacement bags.

Here is the link if you want to have a look. Inexpensive and quality do not go together unfortunatly but if you buy this net it will be the last handle and frame you ever buy. And Jonahs bags are a better quality when you replace them. I love this net.

Eddited to say: I did not notice how old this thread was but this is the best dip net in my opinion for durability it cannot be beat.
