Since these are sunfish I have to add in my opinion too... Top left is a bluegill, top right i'm not sure, redear or bluegill, the botom left is the only one that is definately a redear and the botom right is definitely a pumpkinseed

You are absolutely correct. Upper right is suspicious. It is too small and the lighting is bad. It could be anything. I agree completely with the other 3.

I have no idea what upper right is but I can see how it might be a bluegill, looks more like a bluegill IMO then a redear but I'm no good with juvi sunfish. Is there a high res. photo of that one?

Pumpkinseed. I have heard these called redgills in some locations, not sure why? Must have to do with the "ear".

I think "Top Right" looks like a redear.

"Top left", I have to take your word for it.

I did not keep any of my young and all inbetween red ears. Guess I will head back there today and do some photography. Then I will catch some local blue gill as well and maybe this will help if someone would put them in the ID assistance pages. By the way the spot is only around 25 minuet drive. Hey what can I say I need little or no excuse to go collecting and photographing fish.

Learn from other peoples mistakes you cannot live long enough to make them all your self. I was keeping my "brand new" little point and shoot in a zip lock bag in my pocket while dipnetting. Well somehow something either water got in it anyway or I fell and broke it. Well long story short its BUSTED and it don't work any more. I had it for about a month. It only cost 99 and a printer came with it beileve it or not. But I am bummed out. I have my pro grade digital SLR still but I will be bringing the fish home to photograph with that one or else keep the camera in its hardshell foam lined case locked in my truck and bring the fish to the truck to photograph. I may try to bring it back but since I turn green if I lie "which I try to avoid at all cost" I will have to tell them what happened and they will probably say sorry.
