There's a meeting on December 22nd to showcase the City of Delaware Stream Daylighting project. This is kind of interesting. Don't know if anyone else remembers, but at the NANFA convention in Ohio, quite a few years ago, Randy Sanders of ODNR gave a presentation and mentioned the 100's maybe 1000's of miles of stream that have been placed underground by various development projects. Your city likely has streams running through it that are invisible because they were long ago made to run through buried storm drains under the pavement. Here's one project to reverse that practice:

City of Delaware Stream Daylighting

There will be an open house on December 22nd here in Delaware Ohio to showcase what has been done. This can only be good for our native fishes.

Weiser Ave. Stream Daylighting Project Public Meeting will be held Thursday December 22nd at 5-7pm at the Mingo Park Bxybe conference room.

The contact person for this project is:
Brian McCombs
Upper Olentangy Watershed Coordinator
City of Delaware Ohio

If you want his email of phone number, let me know.
