Not really. I mean thousands of people die every year camping in Australia. It's extremely dangerous. You're much safer camping with bears, ticks, cotton mouths and poison ivy here. Those things don't cause any harm right? :D/

Cheers
Peter

Well, they mostly come out at night. Mostly.

um, I've seen plenty, but still I would love to visit. Can I go camping without risking death?

Don't worry, once in freshwater I am sure the risk of venomous snakes, funnel web spiders, paralysis ticks, blue ring octopus, stonefish, cone snails, box jellies, great white sharks, dingos, and at times unusually aggressive kangaroos, cassowaries, and wombats drop dramaticly.

You just have to watch for crocodiles, bull sharks, platypus, and whatever took a big bight out of the southern coastline.

Wonder if the down under will still recognize you as a native :) I expect the outback will anyhow. New Guinea is on my sooner than later bucket list. One day I need some of those pretty little Aussie pygmy perches. May you find your way and commune with the one.
