Njas is celebrating their 60th year this fall and will be hosting a weekend long event. There will be several speakers covering a wide range of aquarium related topics from fish keeping and breeding to maintaining planted aquariums.
The Sunday auction always has a huge amount of plants and fish species, many uncommon and rare. This promises to be an exciting event for anyone interested in all aspects of fish keeping as well as aquatic plants.

That's not too far from me and not far at all from where I grew up. I think I'll be checking this out. I wonder if I could talk them into a NANFA style sampling trip. There are a few nice spots really close to that location that I grew up fishing on,

Hey David, that's a great idea! I'll bring it up at the next board meeting.
Ray and I can help organize it. Would you mind helping to lead or guide the trip?
By the way, there will be a class for Native Fish in the show.

I'd be happy to guide a trip in the area. I know of some shallow water lakes in the area that we can seine. THe catch won't be as good as those lakes down in south jersey though. I do know some places to catch Green Sunfish an invasive species to NJ.

This Saturday is the NJAS fish show which is open to the public with free access to the vendors room. There are many vendors at this event some of them being Shark aquarium,Absolutely Fish,Rt 4 Aquarium,Kazimer pets,Zoo Med and apisto Guys as well as many others. It is a great place to get great deals on fish and aquarium products.
The fish show already has some interesting fish registered as well as a new category for planted tanks which has a few registered entries already
