Man, am I so jealous... You might try the following, although they are honestly just educated guesses from my couple years in West by God. Down in Pocahontas County you could try Deer Creek, or Greenbrier River in the Cass/Green Bank area. (Just remember cell phones won't work in that area on account of the radio telescope observatory.) http://www.pocahonta...com/map_big.htm
Closer to home you could try Dry Fork, Shavers Fork, or Blackwater all in Tucker County. http://www.wvencyclo...787/maps/custom
A DeLorme will give you muuuch better info than these maps I have posted. Deer Creek runs alongside 28/92 from the general Arbovale to Green Bank area. Again, these are just the places I'd try based on bumming around back roads caving and exploring, back when I wasn't so into fish. Do not take these as any fishy promises. Great scenery, undoubtedly; fish, probably...

Oh, boy, so now this is on me... That's what I get for having a restless spirit and a sentimental heart, but no real knowledge and a big mouth...
If Matt N. wants to stay closer to home, then Tucker Co., in the Parsons area, would be my bet. There's lots of little to medium sized streams and small rivers in the area. It's in the Monongalia Nat'l Forest. Here's a better (google) map you can play around with and a link to the Mon Nat'l Forest webpage.

If these links aren't live it's cuz I'm still as tech stupid as I was this morning...

Yeah, I'm off the hook!Tucker county I think is going to be the place I try. I have a friend that live there and know the area well. David I will do some scoutting around and find a good steam before you make the trip.
