About 3 days after I got my group of 4 creek chubs I noticed they had several dry spawns in my 30 gallon long with a single female green sunfish as a tankmate. I haven't seen any more signs of spawning activity since then though sadly. It's weird they were attempting to spawn since I'm pretty sure creek chubs spawn around April and I got them early august. Is there any way to trigger spawning in them in captivity after they've already been in captivity for several months? I'd like to breed them but not sure how to do it, I've already read the nanfa article about it but it implies the use of freshly caught wild chubs which I don't have.
