A fun opportunity maybe for some of you out there that are sort of already doing this here on the forum. This is your chance to contribute back to NANFA. Remember we are an all volunteer organization... you are NANFA... there is no one else. We need to share the load. If you are interested in any way in our publishing process, now is the opportunity to get your foot in the door.
I received the following from our American Currents co-editor Konrad Schmidt.
After three years on a never-ending search to find interesting tidbits and trivia about fish for our readers, I’m stepping down to focus on being co-editor for American Currents. The always fun part was surfing the web for material and reading intriguing articles on limitless topics. Members have also helped by contributing emails with unique images, new occurrences, and fascinating behavioral observations of both captive and wild fish. I want to emphasize the species scope need not be restricted to North American. My last issue reported about a recently-discovered species living under the Ross Ice Sheet in Antarctica.
The constantly-challenging part is summarizing the content into just a paragraph or two while always striving to keep it interesting and enjoyable to read. NANFA’s crack team of editors will assist with polishing the final product. I also have a mountain of material my replacement is free to use.

I’m looking forward to working with the new editor on future issues!
