So I have a BG (dont know the sex yet) about 4 to 4.5in and and two (male) redears about 6.5 to 7in, I just got another gill about 3in and two ps about 1.5 to 2in. So my thing was to put the RE in my 30g and keep the gills and seeds together in my 55, so I put the 3 new fish in the gill want for one of the seeds but backed off. Now from what I have seen on my puttin guppies is that tank the re will not eat them or even take a bite a one. My gill eats them all, but whatever whatever I looked in the tank the nxt day both ps was gone! Crazy I didnt know that mf gill was big enuff to eat my ps. Like I said I know it wasnt the re because every since I had them they wouldnt eat other fish. So now what Im gonna do is put my lil gill in my 30g get 2 more ps, I will be gettin a 125g soon and thinkin of puttin the babys in the 125 untill they get nice size then take the big gill and throw him in the 125 and leave the re in the 55. Im not really a re lover but if I can find a female for them its all good if not so be it.

It seems very unlikely that a 4.5" bluegill could manage to eat a couple of 1.5" pumpkinseeds. They have reasonably small mouths.

The redears could have managed it, possibly. They might have taken offense to the babies, but it seems unlikely.

Do any of the possible culprits have fat stomachs like they just ate something?

How well covered is the tank? Could the pumpkinseeds have jumped?

Is there anywhere the pumpkinseeds could be hiding?

The ps could have been smaller maybe .5 to 1.5 Im not to great with size but they was very small and I was thinkin the bg isnt big euff to eat them. I have to hide out spots but its been 3 days and nothing. I went and got some guppies today just to test the re but they still wont eat the guppies, but the Blue gill is on it soon as they hit the water.
