I have gotten my spotted darters to eat bug bites flakes the last few weeks. Had them on frozen foods up to that point.

I've got the Bug Bites food, but they haven't taken to it as of yet. The crays eat it, though.

My greenside and tessellated darters will eat Vibra Bites.  I feed my fish flakes first to get the river chub, minnows, dace and shiners full, then Vibra Bites for the same reason. They sink well, so I think that's a key, plus, they kinda look like little worms.  The rainbow and fantails check everything out, sometimes taste, but always spit it out.  The river chub eats everything, but goes crazy over Vibra Bites.  To keep him from eating all of them, I drop earthworm sticks in there to fill him up a little bit.  Even my satinfins will eat them if they can keep them down.

After all that, I use a long baster to feed the darters blackworms.  Other fish, of course, raid that effort, but most of the darters eat well.  Some charge to the top of the baster and try to eat whats inside first, LOL.  If I'm out of blackworms, they all eat frozen bloodworms, more as time passes.
