Hi,

If solicitations like this are not allowed let me know. Been skulking the forums for a while but this is my first post.

I am a PhD student studying genetic relationships of western cyprinids in the genus Gila. I was reading about the introduced population of Gila atraria (Utah chub) in Hebgen reservoir in Montana. This is a little too long of a haul for me to make, especially for just a few samples, but I thought maybe someone on here lives nearby and wouldn't mind taking a few fin clips from a few specimens. This would be noninvasive, and I can provide a kit of everything needed and postage. The protocol would be very simple (clip a fin- materials provided- and stick it onto an special preservative paper I provide).

This is legal, and also as non-invasive as possible. And I would only need a few (~2-4).

Thank you

I was going to volunteer, but when I mapped it out, it turns out that Hebgen Reservoir is almost 200 miles away. Montana's a big place!

For anyone else who might be interested, it's near West Yellowstone.
